The North American Transportation Safety Alliance (NATSA) in conjunction with FleetScreen, Ltd. provides comprehensive drug and alcohol testing management and related services for transportation associations and industry members. NATSA and FleetScreen have over 10 years experience in successful implementation and maintenance of multi-state trucking association testing programs. All programs meet or exceed U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) regulations.
SPECIMEN COLLECTION LOCATIONS
The NATSA program provides access to over 8000 medical facilities nationwide where employee/applicants can submit urine samples for testing in a controlled medical environment. Certified collectors will perform specimen collections at all sites. New sites are added daily to the network. For post-accident testing, remote sites can be coordinated after hours or through the hospital locator link on this web site.
All controlled substances testing will be conducted by a network of SAMHSA certified laboratories located throughout the United States. SAMHSA certified labs are the only labs approved to conduct federal workplace drug testing programs. All negative test results are reported the day after collection. Most positive results are reported in 48-72 hours from collection.
MEDICAL REVIEW OFFICERS (MROs)
FleetScreen Medical Review Officers (MRO’s) are fully devoted to the medical review of drug screen results. They do not maintain private medical practices. This means that prompt response to positive drug screens will save your company valuable time in removing drug abusing employees from the workplace. Each MRO is certified by The MRO Certification Council as required by USDOT requirements. Bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) MRO services are available.
Test results can be retrieved via the following methods:
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
NATSA can assist member companies and associations in meeting the required training components of USDOT. Video training programs are available through FleetScreen for rental or purchase.
The NATSA program also includes criminal history checks of applicants and/or employees. Social Security Verifications and Previous Drug and Alcohol Testing violations can also be searched by FleetScreen’s trained staff or through FleetScreen’s web site at
